I would have thought installing it and running it would have been enough. Not averse to this option if I can get it set up correctly. Resilio sync on ubuntu permission Pc#Looked into using the Docker version - could not get my PC and NAS to see each other after countless hours of messing with networking and firewall settings. Googled the problem - a few other people with a similar problem but the threads are a dead end and are never resolved. I can't do this because my forum account needs validating and that hasn't been done for over a week either. Raised a support ticket with Resilio, although this was a week ago and their unclear response makes it seem as though I should just ask their forum for help instead. Looked at the folder permissions using SSH - they're owned by admin, in the group "users".Įnsured the admin user has read/write access to the folderĮnsured that rslsync has read/write access to the folder under "System Internal User": Įnsured that "administrators" and "users" have read/write access under "Local Groups". Tried adding permissions to this user in the DSM control panel but it doesn't show up anywhere. I saw that Sync now runs under the "rslsync" user. Here are the things I've tried to resolve it: When I click through it says I don't have enough permission for the existing files on the NAS Here are the steps I took to set it up:Ĭopied the read only key for a folder on my PCĪdded it to Sync on the NAS in exactly the same location as beforeĪfter a while I get the "Locked files" warning on my NAs It now no longer works with a "Not Enough Permissions" error. Recently I upgraded a HDD in my Synology DS216+I, where I transferred all my files but had to reinstall DSM and Sync from scratch again.
